TrueSmush provides online image compression and conversion through a web application and a REST API. The service is provided “as is” during beta and may change without notice.
You agree not to use the service to compress illegal content, to probe or attack the infrastructure, to exceed fair-use rate limits, or to resell access without written permission. One account per person; automated bulk sign-ups are not allowed.
You retain all rights to your images. You grant us a limited, temporary license to process them for the sole purpose of delivering compression results. We store uploads for up to 48 hours and delete them automatically.
Compression results vary by image. We make no guarantee of a minimum file size reduction or that output will be suitable for a particular purpose. The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueSmush is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months (or $0 for free users).
API keys are personal and must not be shared. We may throttle or revoke keys that violate rate limits or endanger the service. You are responsible for securing your key.
We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes means acceptance. Material changes will be announced on the blog.
Purchases are covered by our 7-day zero-usage refund guarantee: a full refund is available within seven days of purchase or renewal if no credits, API calls or platform resources were used. Once credits are utilized or the 7-day window lapses, purchases are non-refundable. See the full refund policy.
